It’s practically business-as-usual at the Diagonal Plaza in Boulder, but Himalayas II is in a holding pattern.

Nearly six months after a busted fire line flooded the indoor mall at 2850 Iris Ave., the longtime local Indian eatery remains shuttered. The restaurant’s operators and Diagonal Plaza’s owner have been in a weeks-long standoff that recently escalated to a court battle.

Mall owner Diagonal LLC, which is operated by Larry Burnett, filed a complaint last week in Boulder County court seeking the eviction of Sherpa and Magar LLC, which operates Himalayas II.
